The Alehouse Sessions – Dance Edition

The Alehouse Sessions – Dance Edition is an amalgamation of The Alehouse Sessions with our larger dance production "The Dancers’ Brew". Barokksolistene, together with folk dancer and choreographer Silje Onstad Hålien, have created a show that mixes music, dance and storytelling from the Nordic countries and Great Britain. The Alehouse Sessions – Dance Edition evokes memories of parties, beer halls, weddings and funerals, with raw energy, movement and song.
The production was performed during the BBC Proms 2025, after which The Times’ reviewer wrote "If I were running the BBC I would book [Barokksolistene] for the Last Night of the Proms – they would put some pep into Rule, Britannia!"
